How does Dr. Leeman’s Weight Loss Program work?
Dr. Leeman’s Weight Loss Program trains the body to burn fat. It does this in combination with a Medically Supervised Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD). While you are eating a 500 calorie diet each day, your body burns 2,000 to 4,000 calories from your unlocked fat stores — usually from those hard to reach areas of fat, including the face, neck, upper arms, waist, abdomen, thighs and buttocks.
Will I be hungry and tired?
Without Dr. Leeman’s Weight Loss Program, a low calorie diet would cause you to be tired and hungry. During our program, you will have plenty of energy. You do need to stick to the menu guidelines to maximize weight loss.
What kind of results can I expect?
Women typically lose .5 to 1 pound per day, while men typically lose .75 to 1.5 pounds per day. Some patients experience more restful sleep, higher energy levels, an increased sense of esteem and even lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
When was the Program developed?
The use of our program for the medical management of obesity is based on the extensive research completed in 1954 by the renowned physician Dr. A.T.W. Simeons. He studied extensively and found that in addition to a specific diet, it can help safely expedite weight loss. The program breaks down your abnormal body fat, causing you to lose pounds and inches. At the same time, it protects your body’s good fat and muscle from depleting. This means you can go on a low calorie food plan and lose weight without the typical problems like muscle loss and sagging skin.
